To open a .3DW file, you need to have the Esko Studio Store Visualizer program. This program understands the .3DW file and can show you the 3D store environment stored inside it.
Here's something important to know: .3DW files are often connected to another type of file called a .VTPR file. Think of the .VTPR file as a project file that tells the Esko Studio Store Visualizer program to load the 3D store environment from the .3DW file. For everything to work correctly, both the .VTPR file and the .3DW file need to be kept in the same folder on your computer.
When you save a .VTPR project, it usually goes into a specific folder on your computer that looks something like this: ~/Documents/Store Visualizer
If you ever need to share your store design with someone else, you have to make sure you give them not just the .VTPR file but also the .3DW file and any other files that end in .L3DW. These are like pieces of a puzzle that all need to be together for the person you're sharing with to be able to see the 3D store environment on their computer.
