What is a .CLT file?

A .CLT file is a Clarity Legal Transcript File. This type of file is created by a software called Clarity Legal DepoSmart, which is designed for making certified electronic transcripts. These transcripts are often used by court reporting firms to provide legal transcripts for lawyers. The main purpose of creating a .CLT file is to make the transcript file smaller, which makes it easier and faster to send by email.

However, it's important to note that the programs originally designed to open .CLT files, such as Clarity Legal Viewer, Clarity Legal DepoSmart, and Clarity Legal TrialSmart, have all been discontinued. This means they are no longer supported or updated by the developer.

Despite this, there is a way to open .CLT files using a different program. If you have the VisualBoyAdvance program, which is primarily a game emulator for Game Boy Advance games, you can use it to load .CLT files. To do this, first load a ROM file (which has a .GBA extension) in VisualBoyAdvance. Then, go to the program menu, select 'Cheats', and then choose 'Load cheat list...' to open the .CLT file. This method is a workaround and may not provide full functionality as originally intended with Clarity Legal software.
