What is a .PAL file?
A .PAL file is a type of file used by a digital painting program called Corel Painter. This program lets artists create digital artwork on their computers. These tool palettes include things like the Mixer (for mixing colors), Layers (for managing different layers of your artwork), Color (for choosing colors), and Navigator (for moving around your artwork).
In the past, Corel Painter used these .PAL files to save these settings, but now it uses a different type of file called .BOX. However, Corel Painter still lets you save your palette settings as .PAL files. This is useful because it means you can open these settings in older versions of the software that don't use .BOX files.

If you want to create a .PAL file to save your custom palette, you click on the "Export as PAL" button.
