What is a .PXLS file?

The .PXLS file extension is associated with a type of file called a Pixelmator Style File. This file is used by Pixelmator, which is a program designed for editing images on Mac OS X computers. A .PXLS file contains various settings that define how certain elements in a Pixelmator image should look. These settings include the color of the shape, the width of any lines around the shape (stroke width), the angle and blur of shadows cast by the shape, and how transparent any reflections on the shape should be.

To open a .PXLS file, you need to use a program called Pixelmator Classic. This program specifically works with files created for or by Pixelmator and allows you to apply or edit styles within your images.

If you want to add a new style to your collection in Pixelmator, you can do so by first customizing your style using the options available in the style palette. Once you are satisfied with the look, click on the gear icon located in the palette, and then choose "Add Style" from the menu. This will save your new style so you can use it again later.

To import a style from a .PXLS file into Pixelmator, click on the gear icon in the styles palette, select "Import Style...", then find the .PXLS file you want to use, and click "Open". This will add the style from the file into your Pixelmator project, allowing you to apply it to your images.
