What is a .TOC file?
A .TOC file is a special kind of audio file that works with the PlayStation Portable, also known as PSP. This file type is mainly used for adding custom music tracks to video games like Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. The .TOC file contains music that has been changed into a format that these games can understand and use.
To add these custom music tracks to the games, you can use a program called Exact Audio Copy (EAC). Although, it's important to note that Exact Audio Copy is no longer being updated. When you use this program, it helps you put the .TOC files into the games so you can listen to your own music while playing.
Besides, if you want to create a CD or DVD with this music, you need both the .TOC file and another file called a .BIN file. Together, these files can be used with a program called Brasero to burn the music onto a disc. This way, you can play the music not just on your PSP but also on CD or DVD players that support the format.
