What is a .TSK file?
A .TSK file is a special kind of file used to change the way a Pocket PC-based Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) looks. This is called a skin or theme. When you use a .TSK file, it changes the main background picture on your PDA and also the background for the menus. It's like giving your PDA a new outfit! To use a .TSK file, you need a program called Microsoft ActiveSync. This program helps you put the new skin or theme onto your Pocket PC.
There's something interesting about the .TSK file too. It can save specific designs called silkscreens that are printed on a Printed Circuit Board (PCB). These designs include things like words and symbols that people can read. They help people understand more about the PCB, like where to connect things, what each part does, or who made it. This could include test points (special spots used for checking if the board works right), the logo of the company that made it, settings for switches, names of different parts, or their numbers.
Originally, the way to make these designs was created by a company called Gerber Systems. But now, a company named Ucamco looks after it. This method is really important for making sure everything on the PCB is placed correctly and can be understood by anyone who needs to work with it.
