What is a .TTBK file?
A .TTBK file is a backup file for Canadian tax returns made in the year 2010 using a program called Intuit Canada TurboTax. When you save your tax return in TurboTax, it automatically makes a copy of your file as a backup. This backup file is saved in the same place on your computer as your original tax return file, but it ends with .TTBK instead of .TT10.
The main reason to have a .TTBK file is to keep a safe copy of your tax return. If something goes wrong with your original tax return file, like if it gets lost or damaged, you can use the .TTBK file to get your tax return back.
To use a .TTBK file, you need to have the Intuit Canada TurboTax program. However, TurboTax can't open .TTBK files directly. First, you need to change the name of the .TTBK file to end with .TT10 instead of .TTBK. After you do this, TurboTax will be able to recognize and open the file, allowing you to access your tax return information again.
