.ADF File Extension

A .ADF file is a Amiga Disk File, created by The Sage Group.

Open with Swiftpage Act!. Available for Windows.

What is a .ADF file?

An ADF file is a special type of file used by a program called ACT!, which helps businesses manage their relationships with customers. This file stores important information like the names, email addresses, and business details of customers, as well as notes on past interactions with them. This helps businesses keep track of their communications and maintain good relationships with their customers.

To open an ADF file, you need to use the Swiftpage Act! program. This program was previously known as Sage ACT! but changed its name to Swiftpage Act! in 2013.

When you save an ADF file, it also creates another file with the .ALF extension. This ALF file contains extra information that helps the ACT! program use the ADF file properly, such as helping to back up the data or restore it if needed. Sometimes, ADF files are also included in backup files created by ACT!, which have a .BAK extension.

ADF files are formatted in a way that is similar to how Microsoft SQL Server stores its data, and they are related to another type of file called .MDF. This means they are set up in a structured way that computers can use efficiently, but to work with them directly, you usually need to use specific software like Swiftpage Act!.
