What is a .CDS file?
A .CDS file is a type of file used to store slide shows created with ConceptDraw DIAGRAM, a software program developed by CS Odessa. This program is commonly used for making diagrams, flowcharts, and various other visual drawings. The .CDS file contains a slide show, which includes multiple pages that can feature different diagrams. Additionally, it holds specific settings like the visibility of slide breaks and previews to help organize and display the content effectively.
Originally, these .CDS files were the standard format for saving slide shows in earlier versions of ConceptDraw DIAGRAM. However, starting from version 10 of the software, CS Odessa introduced a new format, .CDSZ, as the replacement for .CDS files. Despite this change, older versions of ConceptDraw DIAGRAM can still open .CDS files.
To open a .CDS file, you will need to use CS Odessa's ConceptDraw DIAGRAM software. If you are using a version of the software that is older than version 10, you should be able to open, view, and edit .CDS files without any issues. If you have a newer version, you might need to check if it still supports the older .CDS format or consider converting the file to the newer .CDSZ format for better compatibility.
