What is a .CPTM file?
A .CPTM file is a type of file known as a Captivate Theme File, which is used by the software Adobe Captivate. Adobe Captivate is a tool designed for creating eLearning materials such as tutorials and instructional videos. The .CPTM file contains a theme for a project, which includes settings for the layout, colors, fonts, and visual effects that will be used throughout the eLearning project.
When you start a new project in Adobe Captivate, it automatically applies a default theme, but you have the option to change this. You can either choose from other themes that are already included in the software, or you can create your own custom theme to make your project look exactly the way you want. Themes in Adobe Captivate are made up of elements like master slides (which are templates for the slides in your project), object styles (which define how objects look), recording defaults (which are settings used when recording simulations or demonstrations), and settings for the skin (the interface elements visible to users) and Table of Contents (TOC).
If you want to create your own theme and possibly use it in other projects, you can do so by going to the "Themes" menu in Adobe Captivate and selecting "Save Theme" or "Save Theme As..." to save your theme file. This saved file will have the .CPTM extension.
