What is a .FOLX file?
A .FOLX file is a type of file that is made by a program called Folx, which is used on Mac OS X computers to manage downloads. This file is like a box that holds all the details about something you're downloading from the internet. Inside this box, you can find where the download is coming from (the download URL), when you started downloading it, how long you've been downloading it, and other important details that help with starting the download again if it stops or gets interrupted.
To open a .FOLX file, you need to use the Eltima Folx 5 program, which is specifically designed to work with these files on Mac computers.
The .FOLX file doesn't just keep track of basic download details. It also keeps information that you can see in the Folx program, like how big the file is that you're downloading, when you've scheduled it to download, how important this download is compared to others (priority), where you're saving the file on your computer (target path), and whether the download is still going, paused, or finished (state).
If you want to see all the information stored in a .FOLX file, you can do so by clicking on the file with your right mouse button and choosing "Show Package Contents." This will open up the file and let you see all the details it contains about your download.
