What is a .G2M file?
A .G2M file is a type of file that is made when you record a meeting using GoToMeeting, which is a program used for online meetings and video calls. Think of it as a saved video of your meeting that you can't watch right away. To watch the video, you need to change the .G2M file into a different type of video file that your computer can play, like .MP4, .WMV for Windows computers, or .MOV for Mac computers.
To open or use this .G2M file, you need to have GoToMeeting, the same program that made the file. After your meeting is over and you've recorded it, GoToMeeting has a special part called "Recording Manager" that should start by itself. This part helps you change the .G2M file into a video file format that you can watch, like MP4, WMV, or MOV.
If you're using a Windows computer and the Recording Manager doesn't start on its own, you can make it start. Just find a small flower-like icon (daisy icon) at the bottom right of your screen, click on it with the right mouse button, and choose "Convert Recordings." If you're on a Mac, you go to the top of your screen, click on "GoToMeeting," then "Preferences," and finally "Recordings" to get to the same place.
Remember, you can't watch the .G2M file like a normal video until you convert it to a format like MP4, WMV, or MOV.
