What is a .GCA file?
The .GCA file extension is used for GCA File Archives. These are files, or sometimes a collection of files, that have been compressed (made smaller) using GCA. GCA is a tool that was used before another tool called DGCA came along. DGCA makes .DGC files, which can squeeze files down even smaller than .GCA can, and even smaller than the more common .ZIP compression that many people use. However, not a lot of people use GCA for compressing files anymore.
To open a .GCA file, you would ideally use the DGCA program. However, it's important to note that DGCA has been discontinued, which means it's no longer being updated or officially supported. This might make it a bit tricky to find a way to open .GCA files, but if you already have DGCA or can find a safe place to download it, that would be the way to go. Since DGCA is not widely supported anymore, you might need to look for specific software archives or tech forums for guidance on how to access or convert these files.
