.GRIND File Extension

A .GRIND file is a Juice Grinder Recipe File, created by Chris Formeister.

Open with Juice Grinder. Available for Windows.

What is a .GRIND file?

The .GRIND file is a type of document that is made and used by a computer program called Juice Grinder. This program is designed for people who want to create their own juice recipes. When someone uses Juice Grinder to make a new juice recipe, the program saves the recipe in a .GRIND file. This file keeps track of all the important details of the recipe, such as what ingredients are needed, how much of each ingredient to use (measured in milliliters or grams and also in drops), and what percentage of each ingredient is in the recipe. These details are calculated based on information from another type of file used by Juice Grinder, known as a .DEFT file.

If you have a .GRIND file, you need to use the Juice Grinder program to open it. This is because the .GRIND file is specifically designed to work with Juice Grinder, and other programs will not understand how to read or use the information it contains.

Additionally, if you want to share your juice recipe with others or keep a copy in a more common format, Juice Grinder allows you to change your .GRIND file into other types of files. You can do this by going to the "File" menu in Juice Grinder and choosing "Export." From there, you can turn your .GRIND file into a .PDF, .CSV, or .XLS file. These formats are more widely used and can be opened by many different programs, making it easier to share your recipes or view them on other devices.

It's also worth noting that in version 1.1 of Juice Grinder, the program started using a new file extension, .GRINDX, instead of .GRIND. This means that newer versions of Juice Grinder use .GRINDX files for saving juice recipes, but they can still open and work with older .GRIND files.
