What is a .IBG file?
An .IBG file is a special type of file that is made by a program called ImgBurn. ImgBurn is a software that people use to put data, music, and videos onto CDs, DVDs, or Blu-ray discs. When ImgBurn is doing its job, it can make a graph that shows important information about how the process is going. This graph is saved as an .IBG file.
The information in an .IBG file includes when the disc was being read (taken information from) or written (information put onto it), what kind of disc it was (like a CD or DVD), how much space the disc has, how much data was actually put on the disc, how long the process took, and how fast the data was read or written.
To look at an .IBG file, you can use programs like DVDInfoPro or Opti Drive Control. These programs can open the .IBG file and show you the graph with all its details.
If you use ImgBurn and it creates .IBG files, it does this because you or someone else chose the option to make these graph files. This option is found in ImgBurn under File → Export Graph Data... The .IBG files are usually saved in a specific folder within the ImgBurn program files, named ImgBurn\Graph Data Files.
If you decide you don't want ImgBurn to make these .IBG files anymore, you can stop it. To do this, go into ImgBurn, then look for Tools → Settings → Graph Data. In there, you'll find an option that says "Capture Graph Data". If you don't want .IBG files to be created, make sure this option is not selected.
