What is a .ICDB file?
An .ICDB file is a special kind of computer file that is used to store small pictures, or "thumbnails," of videos. These thumbnails are created by a software called Icaros. Icaros is designed to work with Windows File Explorer, which is a program on Windows computers that lets you look through and manage your files. Normally, when you look at videos in File Explorer, you can see small preview images of the videos. These previews are what we call thumbnails. The purpose of the .ICDB file is to keep these thumbnails saved in one place so that Icaros can quickly show them to you in File Explorer, especially if File Explorer doesn't already have them saved. This makes browsing through your videos faster because you can see what each video is without having to open it.
To open or work with an .ICDB file, you would use the Shark007 Icaros program. This software understands how to read the .ICDB file and use the information inside it to display video thumbnails in File Explorer. Without Icaros, the .ICDB file won't be much use because other programs typically can't understand or use it.
