What is a .JDR file?
A .JDR file is a type of video file that is made by an IROAD dash camera, which is a camera you put in your car to record videos of your drives. These files are special because they are saved in a format that only certain programs can open. This format is called JDR, and it's unique to IROAD dash cameras.
When you buy an IROAD dash camera, like the IROAD V9 model, it comes with a special program called PC viewer. This program lets you watch the videos you've recorded with your dash camera on your computer. You can also watch these videos on your phone, whether you have an iPhone or an Android, by downloading the IROAD mobile app.
To get the .JDR video files from your dash camera to your computer, the camera saves these files on an SD card. You can take this SD card out of the camera and put it into your computer. Then, you can move the video files to your computer and watch them using the PC Viewer program or the IROAD app on your phone.
It's important to know that .JDR files can't be opened by just any video player. But, if you want to watch these videos with a different program, you can change the .JDR files into a more common video file type, like .AVI, using the IROAD mobile app. This way, you can watch your dash cam videos with other video players too.
