What is a .KNT file?
A .KNT file is a type of text document that is made using a program called KeyNote. KeyNote is a special notebook application that works on computers running Windows. It's designed to let you keep all your notes and information organized in one place. What makes KeyNote unique is that it uses something called the RichEdit control, which is a part of Windows that handles text. This means you can do a lot of different things with your text, like changing how it looks (bold, italics, etc.), organizing it in various ways, and even adding special features through things like macros (which are like little programs that automate tasks), plugins (additional features you can add to KeyNote), and templates (pre-made structures for your notes).
The .KNT file holds all the notes you've made in KeyNote. Instead of having lots of separate files for each note, KeyNote lets you keep everything together in one .KNT file. This can include all sorts of formatted text and the extra features that KeyNote supports, like those macros and plugins mentioned earlier.
If you have a .KNT file, you need to use KeyNote to open it. Since it's a specific format for this program, other text editors or note-taking apps probably won't be able to read it correctly. To view or edit your .KNT file, simply start KeyNote on your Windows computer and open the file through the program's menu. This will let you access all the notes and information you've saved in that file.
