What is a .LO file?
The file extension .LO refers to an Interleaf Compiled Lisp File. This type of file is essentially a compiled version of a Lisp (.LSP) file, which is created using Interleaf technical publishing software. The content of a .LO file includes compiled code, meaning that the Lisp code has been processed into a format that can be executed more quickly by a computer. This compiled code can be run directly within the Interleaf software environment.

It is important to note that newer versions of Aurea QuickSilver, specifically from Interleaf 6 onwards, use a different format for saving compiled Lisp files, known as the Fast Save format with an .FAS extension. However, these versions still retain the capability to handle .LO files.
