What is a .MMP file?
The file extension .MMP is associated with MindManager Mind Map, but it is also used for Master Album Maker project files. These project files include the layout or structure of a photo album, any text descriptions, visual effects, and links to all the images and audio files that are part of the album. This means that the .MMP file organizes and stores information about how the album is put together, but it does not contain the actual media files (pictures and sounds) themselves; it only links to them.
To open an .MMP file, you can use a program called Intrepid Mouse Master Album Maker. This software allows you to view and edit the album project stored in the .MMP file.
Additionally, it's important to note that MMP files can also be used in other contexts, such as in software development. In these cases, MMP files may include information about software targets, source code files that need to be compiled, directories for including additional code, and resources needed for an application. However, this usage is less common.
Please be aware that the Nokia Symbian SDK, which previously used .MMP files for its development projects, is no longer available. This means that if you have .MMP files from a Nokia Symbian project, you might find it challenging to work with them due to the lack of support and tools.
