What is a .NRX file?
The .NRX file extension is associated with a type of file known as a Neat Receipt Folder File. This type of file is specifically created by a software application called NeatWorks, which is designed to help users organize their digital documents. The primary purpose of a .NRX file is to store a collection of scanned receipts in a single folder that can be easily shared among users of the Neat software.
When you use NeatWorks to scan and organize your receipts, you can export these receipts into a .NRX file. This file contains all the scanned receipts from a specific folder within the NeatWorks application, making it convenient to share this organized data with other Neat users. It's important to note that the .NRX file format was used in older versions of NeatWorks and has since been replaced by the .NDX file extension in Neat 5, a newer version of the software.
To open a .NRX file, you will need to use the Neat software. If you are using Neat 5, you can still import .NRX files into the program. To do this, open Neat 5, go to the "Import" menu, and select "Neat File...". Then, click on "Browse," find the .NRX file on your computer, select it, and click "Open" to import the receipts into Neat 5.
It's also worth mentioning that .NRX files are similar to other file types used by older versions of Neat, such as .NRT and .NRF files. These files also contain data related to scanned documents and receipts but are used for slightly different purposes within the Neat software ecosystem.
