What is a .OSZ2 file?
An .OSZ2 file is a special type of file used in a free music rhythm game called osu!. The .OSZ2 file contains a custom game level, also known as a beatmap, that someone has created to play in osu!.

To open an .OSZ2 file, you need to use the osu! game itself or a version of the game called osu!mac, which is made for Mac computers. Creating custom levels in osu! is a popular activity. Players can add their own music, design the visual elements, and set up the gameplay challenges. Normally, these custom levels are saved as .OSZ files. But, when you submit your level to be shared on the osu! website, it gets saved as an .OSZ2 file instead. This is also saved on your computer in the game's files.
