What is a .PLPROJ file?
A .PLPROJ file is a type of file known as an Adobe Prelude Project File. It is used with the Adobe Prelude program, which helps video producers manage and organize video footage during the production process. When you create a project in Adobe Prelude, it saves a .PLPROJ file. This file doesn't contain the actual video clips; instead, it keeps track of where all the video files are stored. This helps in organizing and accessing all the video assets from one place.
To create a .PLPROJ file, you start Adobe Prelude, go to the menu, and select File → New Project..., then after making your changes or adding video references, you save the project by selecting File → Save As.... To open an existing .PLPROJ file, you go to File → Open Project... in the program.
The main programs that can open a .PLPROJ file are versions of Adobe Prelude, such as Adobe Prelude CC 2019. Since the .PLPROJ file only stores information about where videos are located and not the videos themselves, these files are usually small in size.
