What is a .QF file?
The .QF file extension is used for a type of file called a Qompose Web Page Template. This kind of file is made with a tool called Qompose, which sounds like "compose." Qompose is a special way to write HTML, the code that web pages are made from. The cool thing about a Qompose Web Page Template is that it lets you create many web pages that all look similar but can have different content. It does this by using something called "tokens." Tokens are like placeholders or markers in the template that tell the computer where to put different pieces of information on each web page.
If you have a .QF file, you can open it using the Qompose program. This is because Qompose understands how to read and use the tokens in the template to make web pages. You can also look at a .QF file in a web browser, like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. When you view it in a browser, you can see how the final web page will look, but you can't change the template from there.
It's important to know that usually, you shouldn't change or delete .QF files, especially if they are part of something important like a Maps application. For example, if you're trying to remove a version of Maps, you might need to delete the .QF file along with a folder named "cities," but this is a special case. In most situations, it's best to leave .QF files as they are unless you're working on designing or updating web pages with Qompose.
