What is a .RBM file?
The .RBM file is a type of file used by a program called Xojo, which is a tool for making software. Think of Xojo like a digital workshop where developers build apps for computers. A menu in an app is like a list of options you can click on, similar to the menu in a restaurant but for doing different tasks in the software.
This .RBM file contains all the details about the app's menu, such as what options are available (like "File" or "Edit"), what each option does, and what the menu looks like. It also includes special shortcuts that work on different types of computers or devices, making it easier for people to use the app.
However, it's important to know that the .RBM file isn't used much anymore. Xojo introduced new types of files to do the same job, which are called .XOJO_BINARY_MENU, .XOJO_XML_MENU, and .XOJO_MENU. These new files are the updated way to handle menus in Xojo.
If you ever need to work with an .RBM file in Xojo, you would have used the "Export" and "Import" options found in the Xojo program's "File" menu. Exporting was a way to save your menu layout into an .RBM file, and importing was how you could bring an .RBM file's menu into another project you were working on.
Lastly, it's worth mentioning that Xojo was known as Real Studio before 2013, which is why you might sometimes see .RBM files referred to in connection with Real Studio instead of Xojo.
