What is a .RL2 file?
An RL2 file is a special type of video file that is used in a video game called Voyeur. Voyeur is a game that was made like a movie where you can make choices that affect what happens. It was first available to play in 1993. The RL2 file keeps the game's video scenes, which are short clips that show up in the game after you make a choice. These video scenes are stored in a way that makes their size smaller, so they can fit into the game better, but the sound that goes with them is not made smaller.
To watch or use these RL2 files, you can use a program called FFmpeg or another program named File Viewer Plus, which you can get from the Microsoft store. FFmpeg is a more technical tool that can work with many types of video and audio files, not just RL2 files.
You probably won't see RL2 files unless you have the Voyeur game on your computer. The game first came out on a special kind of CD called CD-i in 1993, which needed a special player. Then, in 1994, it was made available for computers that run Windows (known as MS-DOS back then) and for Macintosh computers.
