What is a .RODX file?
The .RODX file is a type of computer file used by people who are interested in keeping track of their family history, also known as genealogy. This file is specifically used with a program called Ancestry, which was previously known as Rodokmen. Ancestry is a tool that helps you organize all the information about your family's past. Inside a .RODX file, you can find a lot of different kinds of information about your family members. This includes their names, when and where they were born, important dates like anniversaries, pictures of them, and where they came from. It's like a digital box where you can store all the pieces of your family's history.
To open a .RODX file, you need to use the Ancestry program, which is made by a company called Nethar. This program lets you view all the information stored in the .RODX file in a neat and organized way. You can see your family tree, which shows how everyone in your family is connected, going back through generations.
It's important to know that the .RODX file is the newer version of what used to be called a .ROD file. So, if you're working with family history information, the .RODX file is the current format you'll be using to save and share your genealogical data.
