What is a .SW3 file?

The .SW3 file contains all the necessary settings that tell WinWedge how to connect to the RS232 device and where to send the collected data. This is very useful because once you set up the configuration and save it as an .SW3 file, you don't have to set it up again. You can simply reuse the same file whenever you need to perform the same task, saving time and effort.
To create an .SW3 file, you need to use WinWedge. Start by opening WinWedge and go to the File menu, then choose 'New'.
