What is a .TMV file?
A .TMV file is a special kind of document known as a TextMaker Template. It's made by a program called TimeMap, which is used to create timelines. Imagine you want to show the history of cars or the steps in a science project in a way that's easy to understand. You could use TimeMap to make a timeline that has boxes for facts, places to write text, pictures, different styles of writing, and scales to show time passing from past to future. Once you make this timeline, you can change it, add more information, or adjust how it looks.
However, it's important to know that the program used to make and open these files, LexisNexis TimeMap, isn't available anymore. This means you can't easily find this program to download or buy, making it hard to open or edit .TMV files if you don't already have TimeMap installed on your computer.
