What is a .ULZ file?
A .ULZ file is a type of computer file used by a program called USBlyzer. USBlyzer is a tool that helps people understand and analyze how USB (Universal Serial Bus) devices, like keyboards, mice, and flash drives, communicate with a computer. When USBlyzer looks at the communication between a computer and USB devices, it can save this information into a file, and this file is called a USBlyzer Data Capture File, or more simply, a .ULZ file.
Inside a .ULZ file, there is a lot of detailed information. It shows a list of all the USB devices that were connected to the computer, like a family tree, and gives specific details about each device. For example, it can tell you the name of the device, what kind of information it was sending or receiving, and even more technical details like the names of certain parts of the device's software.
To open a .ULZ file, you need to use the USBlyzer program. This is because the file contains very specialized information that only USBlyzer knows how to read and display properly. When you open a .ULZ file in USBlyzer, you can see all the captured data about the USB devices. This might include data packets that were sent back and forth between the device and the computer, the contents of these packets, and names related to the device's software and hardware.
People might use a .ULZ file to look back at how a USB device was working at a certain time, which can be very helpful for solving problems with the device or understanding how it operates. For example, if a USB device was not working correctly, analyzing the .ULZ file might show what went wrong.
