What is a .SGW file?
A .SGW file is a type of file used by n-Track Studio, which is a program for creating and editing music. The .SGW file contains a packed song project. This means it includes all the information about a music project along with the actual audio files, like .M4A or .WAV files, compressed and stored within the file itself. This is different from another type of n-Track Studio file, the .SNG file, which only has information about where the audio files are located, but doesn't contain the audio files themselves.
Because .SGW files include the audio files, they are usually bigger in size compared to .SNG files. However, this makes .SGW files very useful for moving a whole music project from one computer to another or for backing up projects, since everything you need is in one file.
To open a .SGW file, you can use n-Track Studio on different devices. On a computer, you can use the standard n-Track Studio program. If you are using an iPhone or iPad, you can open .SGW files with the n-Track Studio DAW: Make Music+ app available on iOS. Similarly, for Android devices, you can use the n-Track Studio DAW: Make Music+ app to open and work with .SGW files.
