However, when a JPG file is sealed and becomes an SJPG file, it can no longer be opened just by any image viewer. Instead, you need specific software that can handle the sealed format.
The only program that can open an SJPG file is Oracle IRM Desktop. This software checks if you have the necessary rights to view the image. If you do, you can see the image; if not, you cannot access it.
Originally, the technology to create sealed files was developed by a company called SealedMedia. Oracle later acquired SealedMedia and continued to develop the technology, which includes the Oracle IRM Desktop software.
It's important to note that Oracle IRM Desktop changes the file extension by adding an "s" at the beginning when it seals a file. For example, a regular XML file becomes an SXML file when sealed.
