What is a .BDL file?
A .BDL file is a special kind of computer file used by certain design software. This type of file is made by CoCreate CAD software, which includes programs like CoCreate Modeling, SolidDesigner, and OneSpace Designer. These programs help people create designs on their computers, either in 2D (flat designs) or 3D (designs that look like they have depth and can be viewed from different angles).
The .BDL file holds all the important information for a design project. Think of it as a box where all the pieces of a design are kept together. This makes it easier to save everything related to a design in one place and to open it again later to keep working on it or to view it.
If you have a .BDL file and you want to open it, you can use a program called PTC Creo. PTC Creo is a newer version of the CoCreate software. Even though CoCreate was replaced by PTC Creo in June 2011, PTC Creo can still open and work with .BDL files. This means if you have old design projects saved as .BDL files, you can still access and use them with PTC Creo.
