What is a .NMM file?
An NMM file is a type of file that was used to save backups of memos or notes that people made on some Samsung smartphones and tablets. These files were created by a program called Samsung Kies. Samsung Kies was a special software that helped people save copies of the files from their Samsung devices onto their computers. The NMM file specifically saved the notes that were made using an app called Samsung Memo. This app used to come already installed on some Samsung Galaxy phones, like the Galaxy Trend Plus and the Galaxy S7.
The Samsung Memo app was a simple tool for writing down notes on your phone. If someone wanted to make sure they didn't lose their notes, they could connect their phone to their computer, use Samsung Kies, and save a backup of their notes. This backup would be saved as an NMM file, which contained all the notes the person had made.
However, Samsung eventually stopped using the Samsung Memo app and replaced it with a new app called Samsung Notes. For a while, people could use Samsung Kies, another program called Samsung Smart Switch, or the Samsung Notes app itself to move their old notes from the NMM files into the new Samsung Notes app. But now, there are no Samsung programs that can open or use NMM files anymore. This means if you have an NMM file, you can't easily open it to see the notes inside using any current Samsung software.
